What support do we offer?

Committed to helping you develop and excel in a career with us, we support your training and development from day one, whatever your role, with activities such as:

  • structured on the job training, feedback and coaching
  • face-to-face workshops and e-learning
  • management and team leader development
  • company sponsorship for appropriate professional or vocational qualifications

You will also have regular performance reviews with your line manager when you can agree priorities for a Personal Development Plan. These meetings are a chance to discuss and prioritise activities that will help you meet your immediate training needs and also achieve your longer-term development goals.

Progress at your own pace

At AJ Bell we value academic achievement and many graduates have gone on to achieve considerable success here. Even so, you do not necessarily need a degree in order to progress your career with us. How far you go depends on how much effort you put in - by continuously developing your skills and knowledge, you put yourself in a much stronger position for any suitable promotion opportunities that arise.

Compulsory training

Everyone at AJ Bell completes regular training in areas such as anti-money laundering and data security. Some roles will also require you to meet the Financial Conduct Authority's training and competence requirements. We will help you to pass professional qualifications and other regular tests to demonstrate your ability to carry out your role according to the rules.
