How can I change my contact details held with you?
To update your details, log into your account and navigate to ‘Update my details’. You can update most information online, including your address, phone number or email address.
Changing your name
If you've changed your name, you'll need to email our customer services team at administration@ajbell.co.uk. Please include the following documents:
- If you've got married and changed your name, we’ll need a copy of your marriage certificate
- If you've divorced and changed your name, we’ll need a copy of your marriage certificate – along with a certified copy of either your deed poll or decree absolute
- If you’ve entered a civil partnership, we’ll need a copy of your civil partnership certificate – along with a certified group A or group B document
- If you wish to change your name alongside your gender, we’ll need a certified copy of your deed poll – along with a certified group A document
- If you've changed your name for any other reason, we’ll need a certified copy of your deed poll
Once we’ve received your documents, we’ll update the name and/or gender on your account. Your username you use to log in online won’t change.

Updating other personal details
To update other personal details, such as your date of birth or National Insurance number, you’ll have to email us at administration@ajbell.co.uk.
Keeping your personal details up to date
To help prevent fraud, it's vital that the personal information in your online account is kept up to date. We’ll check in on you once a year, asking you to confirm that the information we have for you is correct.
Whenever we need you to do this, you’ll see a pop-up box when you log into your account. You don’t have to check your details straight away. However, after three prompts, you’ll be automatically taken to the ‘Review my details’ screen.
