How do I pay money into my transaction account?

You can pay into your transaction account from your nominated bank account. The easiest way to fund your transaction account is by Faster Payments.

You can make a payment in three ways:

1. Click the secure ‘Single payment’ option in the ‘My account’ menu. This makes a payment directly from your bank account through our website. Please note that your bank may place a ceiling on payments – for larger amounts, you may need to pay your total deposit amount in instalments.
2. Use online banking to make a faster payment to your transaction account. You’ll find your transaction account details on the ‘Single payment’ page.
3. Make a CHAPS payment to your transaction account. This can be useful if you are transferring a large amount of money. Your bank may charge you for this service, so please contact them to find out more and arrange the payment. We usually receive CHAPS payments on the same day, provided they are submitted within the bank's cut-off time.

Please note that we cannot accept payments by BACS or cheque.
