Who can open a Dealing account?

Answer

You must be either a UK resident, a crown employee, their spouse or dependent, if you want to open an AJ Bell Dealing account. There are also many other ways you could open a Dealing account with us.

In joint names. Just complete our joint Dealing account form. A Dealing account is the only account we offer that you can hold in joint names.

For a designated purpose. Simply complete the application form for designated dealing accounts, detailing your designated purpose in Section C. A designated purpose can be applied to anything that you choose, allowing a specific ‘named’ purpose to be added to the dealing account. Examples could include school fees, holiday funds, a dream car, etc.

In the name of a pension scheme, trust, or business. You can open these accounts in various ways:

  1. A Dealing account for a UK-registered pension scheme that’s operated under a trust by completing this application form.
  2. A bare trust Dealing account on behalf of a child, by completing this application form.
  3. A Dealing account for a UK limited company by completing this application form.
