Bernard Yardley joined us in September 1999 with 10 years' pensions and actuarial experience as well as over 15 years' experience in software development. He graduated in mathematics from Cambridge University in 1986 and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1992. After 3 years as a trainee actuary with a major insurance company, Bernard spent 10 years with a firm of Manchester based consulting actuaries where he carried out the full range of actuarial and administrative duties relating to their SSASs. He also played a key role in the development and administration of the A J Bell SIPP.
