AJ Bell London Triathlon 2017

On 22 and 23 July over 10,000 people took part in the AJ Bell London Triathlon 2017. The spectacle was perhaps even more impressive than ever this year, as we saw the introduction of the Weekend Warriors category; a grueling challenge that involved completing as many triathlons as physically possible during the weekend’s racing hours!

As usual, some famous faces took part, including TV chef Gordon Ramsay who completed the relay event with his daughter Tilly to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. We were also humbled by the achievement of Corinne Hutton, a remarkable lady who had to have both hands and both feet amputated a few years ago, then recently had most of one lung removed. Despite these enormous obstacles she managed to complete the Super Sprint event in fine style and with a smile on her face almost the whole way round.

The photos on this page should give you a great feel for the atmosphere our competitors and athletes enjoyed. And if you were there they’ll serve as a great reminder of a special day.
