Marketing Communications Assistant (12 Month Placement)

We are now looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who can apply themselves to multiple activities across the marketing communication function. This role is a 12-month placement.

In this role you will work closely with all areas of Marketing to raise the profile of AJ Bell Investcentre and Touch by AJ Bell. The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Email Marketing:

  • Preparing and coordinating emails for a wide range of communications.
  • Developing and maintaining mailing lists, ensuring data groups are kept up to date within our marketing email software provider.
  • Reviewing and editing data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.

Social Media:

  • Updating activity planners.
  • Working with the Communication Team to help plan, create and implement content for AJ Bell Investcentre and Touch by AJ Bell social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with our Head of Sales to manage and grow their LinkedIn profile.
  • Answering accordingly to social media leads and comments.
  • Ensuring that the copy used across our social media accounts is accurate, up to date and signed-off in line with our internal processes.
  • Assisting in the development of campaign strategies.

Website:

  • Uploading, reviewing maintaining content on the adviser and client AJ Bell Investcentre websites.
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of marketing materials and literature.

Reports:

  • Conducting market research to support the development of ongoing marketing activities.
  • Preparing and presenting analysis and monthly reports.

Additional:

  • Planning and executing activity for the external office advertising screen in line with agreed targets.
  • Embedding AJ Bell’s guiding principles and corporate guidelines in your way of working, ensuring communications are accurate, clear and not misleading to our customers.
  • Building strong relationships with the marketing team and working proactively with colleagues in the wider business to ensure all content we publish is quality checked and appropriate for publication, and that we are targeting audiences in the appropriate way.

Reporting to the Marketing Communications Team Leader and Marketing Communications Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Be studying for a degree within Marketing or Business.
  • Have experience with social media platforms – LinkedIn and Twitter in particular.
  • Have a strong desire to learn, develop and work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Be self-motivated, with the ability to use their initiative, effectively multi-task and produce high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Be highly organised and have a strong attention to detail.
