Learning and Development Specialist

We are now looking to recruit a Learning and Development Specialist, reporting to the L&D Manager this role will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality learning with exciting and upcoming line managers across AJ Bell.  

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced trainer in management and leadership development to support and enhance our Manager Talent Development Programme alongside supporting our departmental manager currently in situ. 

This role is Ofsted regulated and the post holder will be required to maintain a Continued Personal Development.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Design and deliver a variety of training sessions for new and existing employees, focusing on managerial development.
  • Support the analysis of existing training material to continually refresh and be fit for purpose in an ever-evolving business.
  • Focus on the development and preparation of internal top talent by delivering the manager talent development programme.
  • Delivering training sessions related to apprentice standards and CMI qualifications.
  • Prepare and maintain materials for talent development events.

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • CIPD Level 5 (or higher) qualification 
  • Coaching qualification (Level 5 or work experience equivalent).
  • Previous experience in management development training preparation, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory training requirements (Training & Competence).
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and has the ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, including facilitation and presenting skills.
  • Resilient; comfortable under pressure and able to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Able to challenge and influence in a positive manner – persuasive and credible.
  • Strong I.T. skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Self-learner; keeps knowledge and skills up to date, understands current L&D trends
