Karen joined AJ Bell as Chief Risk Officer in September 2021. She was previously the Director of Compliance at the UK’s second largest building society group, and has also worked at a UK-based financial regulatory body. During her time as a Senior Manager at a multinational professional services network of firms, she was the project lead for a review of AJ Bell’s governance and culture commissioned by the Board and presented the review’s findings to the Board.
