Distil shares jump as hails first order via US distribution partner

Distil PLC on Thursday said it received its first order through a US distribution partner.

The London-based owner of drinks brands said the order brings Blavod Black Vodka back into the US market.

Distil said that back in April 2025, it engaged AIKO Importers INC, a recognised importer and brand builder of premium wine and spirits, as its US distribution partner.

"Distil's new distribution partner boasts an extensive distribution network across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, with strong retail relationships," the company said.

A first "substantial" shipment is to leave the UK early in the third quarter of the firm's financial year ending March 31.

Distil Executive Chair Don Goulding said: "We're delighted to have reached this stage with AIKO following a lengthy process that was beyond the control of both parties. Unlocking distribution for Blavod in the US marks an important moment and a fresh growth opportunity for the brand which has previously enjoyed success in this market before its previous distributor pulled back during the Covid lockdowns.

"We regularly receive requests for the product from customers and consumers, demonstrating strong brand awareness and demand, and we look forward to working closely with the AIKO team to rebuild the brand in this market."

Distil shares jumped 24% to 0.062 pence each on Thursday afternoon in London.
