AJ Bell appoints Mike Morrison as Head of Platform Marketing

A J Bell today announces the appointment of Mike Morrison as Head of Platform Marketing.
27 June 2012

Mike joins A J Bell having spent 22 years at AXA Wealth, where he was Head of Pensions Development. Over the years, Mike has been instrumental in the development of AXA Wealth’s SIPP and drawdown propositions, and latterly has focused his time working closely with IFAs on their at-retirement strategies. He is a regular speaker at industry events, and is one of the industry’s most respected press commentators.

In his new role, Mike will be responsible for leading the promotion of A J Bell’s Sippcentre platform at industry events and conferences. He will also continue to develop his relationships with the trade and national press, and will act as one of the company’s press contacts. Much of his time will be spent in the regions, providing workshop support to the Sippcentre Business Development Team.

Andy Bell, Chief Executive, says, “A J Bell has grown to a level where we have over £16bn of client funds under administration, and I still see many further exciting opportunities for us to explore. Mike will bring a huge amount of experience to the Senior Team at a time where we look to continue to develop our platform proposition.”

Bell continued, “I am keen that we are able to further enhance the way that we communicate and interact with the advisers that use our Sippcentre platform, and Mike will play a key role in that process”.

Mike Morrison says, “After 22 enjoyable years at AXA Wealth, I am delighted to join A J Bell. The management team, their achievements and the manner in which they manage the business have all impressed me. I look forward to contributing to the continued development and success of the group.”

Paul Riddell, Head of Strategic Communications at AXA Wealth, said, “Mike is highly respected in the industry, and is an accomplished writer and presenter on all things pensions. He has made an invaluable contribution to AXA Wealth over the years, and we all wish him every success.”
