"Today’s update from Link on the suspension of the Woodford Equity Income fund will be welcomed by investors with the update suggesting that they remain on track to lift the suspension in December. While plenty can happen in the next four months, giving this update shows confidence that they can achieve this target which gives investors trapped in the fund some hope that they will be able to access their money before Christmas. Performance of the fund continues to be weak with the fund down 11% since suspension, representing significant underperformance of the FTSE All Share Index." "Since the suspension, Woodford’s other funds have also struggled with the Woodford Income Focus fund halving in size, down to £250m and also suffered poor performance, while today the Patient Capital investment trust saw one of its largest holdings marked down sharply."
