D2C Technical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager on an 18 month fixed-term contract to lead the delivery of a strategic refresh of our mobile app. This is a fixed-term role requiring strong project leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management, and a solid understanding of financial services and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure the refreshed app is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

What does the job involve?

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery of the mobile app refresh, from initiation through to launch and post-implementation review.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders including Product, UX/UI, Development, QA, Compliance, and third-party vendors.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and resource trackers.
  • Ensure the project meets financial services regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA rules, data protection, consumer duty).
  • Facilitate governance processes and produce project status reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Track and manage risks and issues, ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and sign-off processes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and align delivery with business objectives.

Knowledge and experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering digital products, ideally mobile apps.
  • Strong background in financial services, with demonstrable understanding of regulatory standards and frameworks (e.g. FCA, PSD2, GDPR).
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, including third-party suppliers.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Jira, MS Project, Confluence).
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities and changing deadlines.
