These terms apply to your use of our website ajbell.co.uk (Site) and or any other software application, tool or interface operated by us (including where our services are made available through third-party platforms such as conversational or AI-enabled interfaces) (together, the App).
Please read these terms carefully before you start using our Site or App, as they apply to how you use and interact with us online. By using the Site or App, you confirm you accept these terms and that you agree to comply with them. You also agree to be bound by and act in accordance with, our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we process your personal data we collect from you and our Cookie Policy, which sets out information about the use of cookies on the Site and App.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our Site or App.
1. Information about us
The Site and App are owned and operated by AJ Bell Securities Limited (we, us, our). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 02723420 and have our registered office at 4 Exchange Quay, Salford Quays, Manchester M5 3EE. We are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
2. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to revise these terms at any time by amending this page, so we ask that you visit this page occasionally to check for any changes that may affect how you interact with us online. If changes to these terms are made and you subsequently continue to use our Site or App, we accept this to mean that you are happy with the changes to the terms. Please take this into account, as the terms are binding on both you and us.
3. Permitted use
3.1 All rights, including copyright and all other intellectual property rights, in connection with the Site and App belong to us or our third party licensors, with all rights reserved.

We make no warranty or representation that our Site, our App or any service we provide through our Site or App is available or otherwise appropriate for use outside of the UK. If you choose to use the Site from locations outside the UK, you do so at your sole risk and you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws.

(a) distribute or make the Site or App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time;
(b) misuse the Site or App by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful;
(c) attack our Site or our App via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack; or
(d) copy (except as expressly permitted), decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of the Site, the App or any parts of them.

(d) to collect or harvest any information or data from our systems or attempt to decipher any transmissions to or from any of our servers.

4. Content on the Site or App
4.1 Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on the Site and App, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on the Site or App (whether provided by us directly or via third parties) is accurate, complete or up to date. It is your responsibility to check that any content is accurate, complete or up to date.
4.2 Where the Site or App contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as endorsement by us of those linked pages. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources and take no responsibility for the information contained in them or for their accuracy. 4.3 Where we provide calculator tools in certain sections of our Site or App, we do not accept any liability for the accuracy of the results produced by these tools. You are responsible for verifying the output of any calculator tools which we make available to you.
4.4 We may use artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) to help you: (i) research and ask questions regarding financial information on our Site; and (ii) research and ask questions regarding your accounts with us (AI Tools). Your data will only be used to generate responses and analyse them to ensure they are useful, using the minimum amount of personal data required to enable responses to be generated. We will make you aware if you are using AI Tools and you do not have to use AI Tools. AI is a developing technology and may not always be error-free. You should not rely on the AI Tools to make decisions. We are not liable for any loss or damage that may arise as a result of your use of the AI Tools.
5. Availability and security
5.1 We use market-standard security software to provide protection for our Site and App, we do not guarantee, warrant or represent that use of the Site or App is secure or free from viruses, spyware, malicious software, trojans, worms, logic bombs or anything else which may have a harmful effect on any technology. You should use appropriate virus-checking software.
5.2 We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material due to your use of the Site or App or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.
5.3 There may be times when the Site, the App and any website accessible from them may not be available, for example, if we are carrying out scheduled maintenance or internet traffic is heavy. However, we do our best to keep such times to a minimum.

(c) use of the Site or App which is caused by any event beyond our reasonable control.

You agree not to use the Site or App for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of data, loss of business, business interruption, loss of business opportunity or other business-related loss. 7.5 *For the purposes of section 7.3, ‘loss’ means all losses (including without limitation) loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, wasted expense, liabilities, costs, payments, claims, actions, damages and expenses (whether direct or indirect) and in all cases regardless of whether or not such loss was foreseeable or arises from circumstances particular to you which you had advised us of.
8. General
8.1 Each section of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
8.2 If we delay or fail to exercise any of our rights or remedies under these terms, it will not amount to us waiving our right to do so at a later time.
8.3 These terms and your access and use of the Site and App are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in connection with these terms and your access to and use of the Site and App (including any claims or disputes).
