Early Careers Recruiter

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Early Careers Recruiter to join our in-house team, supporting the delivery of early careers and high-volume hiring across AJ Bell.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to build their experience across early careers recruitment, attraction and onboarding. You’ll work closely with the wider recruitment team, supporting hiring across apprenticeships, internships, placements and entry-level roles within our Customer Services and Operations teams.

You’ll play an important role in helping us deliver a smooth and engaging experience for candidates, while supporting the attraction of future talent into the business.

What you’ll be doing

Recruitment & attraction (80%)

You’ll support the delivery of early careers and volume hiring activity, including:

  • Supporting recruitment for:
    • Entry-level roles across Customer Services & Operations
    • Apprenticeships
    • Internships and placements
    • Work experience opportunities
    • Internal mobility
  • Working with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring timelines
  • Posting job adverts and supporting attraction campaigns for early careers audiences
  • Sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and careers fairs and events
  • Screening applications and supporting shortlisting decisions
  • Coordinating interviews, assessment centres and selection events
  • Supporting a positive candidate experience through clear and timely communication
  • Helping to build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring

Onboarding & administration (20%)

You’ll also support onboarding and recruitment administration, including:

  • Preparing and issuing offer letters and contracts
  • Managing pre-employment checks, including references and right to work
  • Keeping candidate records up to date in our ATS (SmartRecruiters)
  • Tracking candidate progress and supporting reporting
  • Liaising with external partners such as schools, colleges and careers providers
  • Supporting continuous improvement of recruitment processes

What we’re looking for

Experience

  • Experience within a fast-paced recruitment environment, ideally including volume or early careers hiring
  • Experience managing multiple vacancies simultaneously
  • Understanding of UK recruitment legislation, including right to work requirements
  • Experience supporting assessment centres or high-volume selection processes (desirable)

Competence and knowledge

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and team-focused approach
  • Ability to work at pace and stay organised
  • Interest in early careers and developing future talent
  • Comfortable using systems and keeping accurate records
