We’ll begin by setting up your AJ Bell account using a few quick details about you. Then, tell us about your previous employers so we can start tracking down your lost pensions.
We can search for most UK pensions — but we’ll let you know if there are any we can’t find.
Choose how your pension will be invested
Next, pick one of our three low-cost AJ Bell funds.
Any pensions we find will be automatically invested in your chosen fund, and managed by our team of experts so you don’t need to do anything.
And if you decide you want to switch funds at any time, it’s no problem — just let us know.

Powered by the Balanced fund. Aims for long-term growth. Investing in bonds alongside company shares to balance market fluctuations.

The Cautious fund has more invested in assets like cash and bonds and less in stock markets, which means it aims to give you a smoother ride – but it may deliver lower returns over the long term.
The Adventurous fund has more invested in stock markets – offering potentially higher returns that may come with a more volatile ride along the way.
The Pension builder fund, powered by the AJ Bell Balanced fund, offers a balanced approach to returns and volatility. Our 'Core option' because it's aimed at those who are seeking stability but aren't sure where to invest.
If you’re not happy with your choice down the line, you can switch investment funds easily. Just let us know which you’d like to swap to.

You can still open a Ready-made pension if you've got another type of pension with another provider, such as:

- A Self-invested personal pension (SIPP)

Our free Pension finding service looks for a wide range of pensions you might hold. You can search for as many pensions as you’d like. Just click ‘Add more pensions’ from your Pension finder dashboard.
Once you’ve submitted your pension search, we’ll start looking. The process usually takes four to six weeks, though response times can vary depending on the pension provider.

- Single payment – this can made either through a bank transfer or your debit card, but just remember that your card must be registered in your name and to your home address.
