How do I pay into my Ready-made pension?

Answer

There are two methods of paying into your Ready-made pension:

  1. Single payment – this can made either through a bank transfer or your debit card, but just remember that your card must be registered in your name and to your home address. If it's the first time you're funding this account, you'll need to add at least £500. After that, there's no minimum payment amount.
  2. Regular payment – set up monthly direct debit payments of at least £25 into your account from your nominated bank. Payments will be debited from your bank account on the first working day of the month and take between 3-5 working days to show in your Ready-made pension.

Once we’ve received your payment, it’ll automatically be invested in your chosen AJ Bell fund. This deal will usually go through within one working day of the cash being added to your Ready-made pension.

Only you can pay into your Ready-made pension. We can’t currently accept payments from another family member on your behalf.

You can, however, receive contributions from your employer. These can either be one-off single payments or monthly Direct Debit contributions. Read more about employer pension contributions.
