Limited Company Dealing account
If you’re a director or secretary of a Limited Company, you can open a Dealing account in your company’s name.
Also known as a ‘corporate share dealing account’, a Limited Company Dealing account is very similar to a typical Dealing account; however, it allows you to invest your company’s funds to grow the business further.
Here are some important things you need to know.
-
There’s no limit on how much your company can invest, and you can withdraw that money at any time. You'll need to leave at least £100 in your account to keep it open
-
Just one nominated contact from the company can run the account
-
The charges are the same as per the standard Dealing account charges
-
Get started with an initial deposit of just £250 or set up a £25 monthly direct debit, or transfer an account for free
Remember that investments go up and down in value, and you could lose money as well as make it. How you’re taxed will depend on your circumstances, and the rules can change.
How to open an account
To open a Limited Company Dealing account, we need you to complete the below form, then post it to us.
The form needs to be signed by at least two company directors, or one director and the company secretary. You also need to choose a nominated contact who’ll run the account.
There’s a helpful set of instructions and tips at the top of the form itself. And of course, you’re welcome to get in touch with our Customer Onboarding Team. You can reach them on CustomerOnboarding@ajbell.co.uk or call 0345 54 38 929 (9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday). One of our specialists will be able to guide you through the process.
How to pay into the account
To pay into your Limited Company Dealing account, the fastest way is by debit card. Your money will be in your account straight away, ready to invest. To do this, just log in and select 'Single payment'.
You can also fund your account regularly by a direct debit from your nominated bank account. To do this, log in and select 'Regular payments' to get started.
If you’re unable to use a debit card for the amount you want to pay in, please call Customer Services team on 0345 54 32 600. We'll talk you through your options.
