How to: Log into your account

Logging in to your AJ Bell account is both easy and secure. To get started, hit the ‘log in’ button in the top right hand corner of your screen. On the ‘log in’ page, enter your username and your full password. You can choose to stay logged in for one hour, if you don’t tick this box you’ll be logged out of your account after 15 minutes of inactivity. Then click “Continue”. 

If it's the first time you're logging in to your account using your device, you'll need to verify it’s you by entering a one-time code. You can choose to receive your one-time code by text or email. If you prefer, later on you can choose to use an authenticator app to receive your code instead.

Once you’ve decided how you’d like to receive your code, we'll send it to you. We’ll send it to the email address or mobile number that we hold for you. If you’d like, you can choose to receive your code another way. You can also request a new code if yours expires. Once you enter your one-time code you'll then be logged in to your account. Now we’ve recognised the device you’re using and verified it’s you, the next time you log in you’ll only need to use your username and full password.

Our “Security settings” page is an area where you can manage the security on your account. Here you can update your password and add an extra layer of security to your account by enabling a one-time code every time you log in. You can choose to receive your code by text, email or using an authenticator app. To set up an authenticator app, you’ll need to register your phone by scanning the QR code. You can also see which devices have access to your account, and revoke access if you’d like.
