EBITDA

EBITDA stands for Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation. It’s a measure of how profitable a company’s day-to-day business is before factors such as borrowing costs, taxes, and certain accounting charges are taken into account. This makes it easier to compare companies in the same sector that might have different capital structures, tax situations, or accounting policies. However, EBITDA is not the same as cash flow, as it does not show all the cash coming into and out of a business.
