| Biography | Gareth Simmons is a portfolio manager in the European High Yield Bond team as well as Executive Director for Responsible Investment in FI. His portfolio management responsibilities include the management of Responsible Investment high yield strategies combining ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and sustainability inputs. He chairs the Responsible Portfolio Management Group at Columbia Threadneedle. He joined the company in 2011 as a credit analyst covering the Telecom, Media, and Tech (TMT) sectors. In 2015, he took on portfolio responsibilities of European High Yield mandates, moving to solely a portfolio manager role in 2020. Prior to joining the company, Gareth was a sell-side TMT credit analyst at Morgan Stanley. Gareth has a BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Durham and he also holds the Investment Management Certificate. |
