Acceler8 Ventures keeps focus on Hui10 as half-year loss widens
Acceler8 Ventures PLC on Thursday reported increased expenses and a widened loss for its first half.
The investor in technology-enabled businesses, including Beijing-based lottery technology group Hui10 Inc, reported a pretax loss of £1.2 million for the first six months of 2026, compared with a £70,997 loss the year before.
Administrative expenses surged to £295,499 from £71,001. Acceler8 said the widened loss principally reflected operating expenses incurred as a listed business, as well as due diligence and transaction costs associated with its acquisition of Intuitive Investments Group PLC, or IIG, which took effect in August. After the deal closed, IIG's primary investment, Hui10, became Acceler8's principal operating business.
"The group's strategic priorities are now to support the expansion of Hui10 and to invest in technology-enabled business opportunities," Acceler8 said, adding: "Hui10 has developed a differentiated position within China's regulated lottery ecosystem through its retail connectivity, consumer engagement platform, data and AI capabilities and commercial partnerships.
"The group intends to build on these foundations by expanding consumer access, developing new technology-enabled products and services and increasing the value generated through Hui10's connected retail network."
Acceler8 shares were down 0.7% at 83.40 pence on Thursday afternoon in London. They had earlier risen by 1.2% to 85.00p each.
