Anglo American promotes Man Group Chair Anne Wade to senior director

Anglo American PLC on Thursday said it has promoted Non-Executive Director Anne Wade to senior independent director, starting immediately and replacing Ian Tyler.

Wade joined the London-based miner's board in January 2025. She also is chair of London-listed investment manager Man Group PLC and as an executive held senior roles in asset management, primarily at Los Angeles-based Capital Group.

She currently serves on Anglo American's Audit, Remuneration and Sustainability committees and now also will join its Nomination Committee.

Anglo American shares were down 4.3% at 3,674.00 pence in London, tracking losses across the mining sector as metal prices slid.

Tyler, who has served as senior independent director since April 2022, will remain on the board as an independent non-executive director and chair of the Remuneration Committee.

Anglo American said the change follows a review by Tyler of his existing board commitments.

Chair Stuart Chambers said: "Since Anne's appointment to our board in 2025, she has brought a wealth of insights to our discussions drawn from her extensive experience as a non-executive director and from her capital markets career."
