AG Barr PLC - Cumbernauld, Scotland-based soft drinks maker under 16 brands, including Irn-Bru and Rubicon - AG Barr picks Darren Shapland to be its non-executive board chair, starting on Tuesday. Susan Barratt, who has been standing in as interim chair since the departure of Mark Allen in January, reverts to non-executive director. Shapland also is chair of Hollywood Bowl Group PLC and a non-executive director of JD Sports Fashion PLC. As an executive, he was chief financial officer of supermarket chain J Sainsbury PLC, as well as CFO & chief executive officer of former London listing Carpetright PLC. Euan Sutherland remains CEO of AG Barr.
