IN BRIEF: Alien Metals partner secures prospecting licence

Alien Metals PLC - London-based mining company focused on Australia - says its joint venture partner, West Coast Silver Ltd, has secured a prospecting licence for the Elizabeth Hill West prospect, immediately adjacent to the Elizabeth Hill silver mine. Alien says historical trenching returned five metres at 5.2 grams per tonne of silver, 19,000 parts per million copper and 220 parts per billion palladium, while shallow reverse circulation drilling returned one metre at 11 grams per tonne of silver from 65 metres.

The addition strengthens West Coast Silver's exploration pipeline, adding new silver, copper, nickel and palladium targets, the company says. West Coast Silver plans further exploration, including a review of historical data, fieldwork, geophysical surveys and target definition ahead of potential drilling. Alien holds a 30% interest in Elizabeth Hill and about 7% of West Coast Silver.
