IN BRIEF: Alliance Witan says set for 60th hike in annual dividend

Alliance Witan PLC - Dundee, Scotland-registered investment trust founded in 1888 and managed by Willis Tower Watson - Declares first interim dividend of 7.33 pence per share, up 3.5% from 7.08p a year before. The ex-dividend date is May 28. Alliance Witan paid 7.08p each quarter of 2025 for 28.32p in total, and it says on Tuesday it plans to maintain a 7.33p quarterly payout for all of 2026. This would represent the 60th consecutive increase in the company’s annual dividend, which it says it one of the longest records of rising dividends in the investment trust industry.

Net asset value on a bid price basis with debt at par and excluding income is 1,1316.7p at the close on Monday. It was 1,249.4p on the same basis at the end of the first quarter.
