IN BRIEF: Altitude Group brings back Richard Sowerby as finance chief

Altitude Group PLC - marketplace operator for the promotional products industry - Appoints Richard Sowerby as its chief financial officer designate to succeed Drew Whibley, who will step down on July 31. Sowerby, an "experienced board-level CFO," previously joined the firm as CFO in 2013 before becoming executive chair, and later moved to a non-executive director role in 2017. He is currently an executive director at branded merchandise company Dowlis, giving him "strong insight into the promotional merchandising sector", and recently provided "CFO services" to "fast-growth" UK small and medium enterprises. At Altitude, he "will serve on a fractional basis" and work closely with the AIM Smarter brand's US-based Financial Lead Jayme Ulbin, to provide "financial oversight and governance as the group executes its growth plans."

Altitude says his appointment reflects the restructuring of its finance function to align with its increased focus on the US market, and "substantially" completes its transformation programme. Non-Executive Chair Alexander Brennan comments: "Richard's return brings continuity, deep sector knowledge, and a finance structure that is right-sized for where we are today."
