IN BRIEF: Arkadian Strategic completes initial sample collection
Arkadian Strategic Metals PLC - Northern Europe-focused mineral exploration and investment company - Announces the completion of pressure washing and an initial programme of sample collection at its Clogau-St David's gold mine in north Wales. Arkadian says the work exposes a vein for geological inspection, with 21 samples collected for further analysis. Laminated quartz and shale veining has been observed. Access works at the mine were completed in August; processing work at the on-site pilot plant continues. Additionally, Arkadian says its European protected species licence has been renewed by Natural Resources Wales until 2032. Executive Chair George Frangeskides comments: "The renewal of our protected species licence through to March 2032 provides a longer planning horizon for future work in the Lower Llechfraith mine system. Our focus is two-pronged, both assessing the mineralogy of these different areas in order to prioritise gold exploration targets while at the same time pursuing opportunities to recover gold from historic mine material."
