IN BRIEF: Aura Energy chief financial officer announces resignation

Aura Energy Ltd - Fremantle, Western Australia-based uranium and battery metals company - Chief Financial Officer Mark Somlyay has resigned, although he will remain with Aura until December 8 unless he and the firm agree otherwise. His contract requires a four-month transition period. Board "thanks Mr Somlyay and wishes him well." Process to appoint his successor "is well advanced," and Aura says the board "is prioritising candidates with direct experience financing major resource projects".

Aura notes that the timetable for the Tiris Uranium Project is unchanged, as it remains on track to complete the bankable feasibility study and information memorandum in September, and to conclude project financing by the end of this year. Adds that Somlyay will remain in his role throughout this period, so there will be "no interruption to the finance function".
