IN BRIEF: BP to sell most of BP Ventures' minority interests

BP PLC - London-based energy company - Agrees to sell most of BP Ventures' minority interests in more than 10 companies in its portfolio to Verdane OpCo AS. BP says the transaction supports its efforts to simplify its portfolio and maintain disciplined capital allocation. Verdane, the Oslo, Norway-based investment firm, will acquire the interests in the companies, while BP will retain investments in a "small number" of the companies "where the technology has the potential to create value for its businesses," says BP. Company notes the divestment is expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2027.

Current stock price: 507.70 pence, closed down 1.7% in London on Wednesday
