IN BRIEF: Churchill China appoints James Roper as CEO

Churchill China PLC - Stoke-on-Trent, UK-based manufacturer and supplier of ceramic tableware - Announces that James Roper will succeed Dave O'Connor as chief executive officer with immediate effect, completing the company's planned succession programme. O'Connor has been with Churchill for 35 years, including 14 years as CEO, and will step down from the board but remain with the business on a part-time basis focused on materials, retail sales and projects. Roper has led sales and marketing for 14 years and has also worked closely with O'Connor on operations and strategy over the past three years.

Churchill China Chair Robin Williams says: "The board is extremely grateful to Dave for his long tenure as CEO, his collaboration in the planning of this succession and his willingness to continue to contribute to the company in his new role."

James Roper says he is looking forward to working with Churchill's established team to deliver the company's next phase of growth, adding that he is pleased to retain O'Connor's knowledge and experience.
