IN BRIEF: Frasers extends offer to buy Australia's Accent to September

Frasers Group PLC - Shirebrook, England-based owner of House of Fraser, Sports Direct and Flannels retail chains - Extends the deadline for its offer to buy all remaining shares of Australian footwear retailer Accent Group Ltd to September 30. Frasers already owned 22.9% of Accent Group when it made its offer to buy the rest in mid-June. Accent Group, which was founded in New Zealand and now has offices in Auckland, as well as Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, already is a distributor for Sports Direct in the two countries. Frasers took a 14.7% stake in 2024 and has increased it since. Its all-cash, on-market offer for Accent is AUD0.65 per share. Accent Group closed at AUD0.73 per share in Sydney on Thursday for a AUD435.9 million, about £228 million, market capitalisation.
