IN BRIEF: GCP Infrastructure Investments frees up cash for buybacks

GCP Infrastructure Investments Ltd - closed-ended investment company advised by Gravis Capital Management Ltd providing exposure to UK infrastructure debt - Introduces third-party debt financing to portfolio of solar-power projects that it owns to recycle equity capital. The deal with an unnamed counter-party is for £40 million in senior loans, representing a loan to enterprise value of 38%. GCP Infrastructure also says its investment adviser is progressing disposals worth £60 million in total.

The proceeds of the debt financing and asset disposals will be used to repay debt and for share buybacks, as long as the company's share price remains more than 15% below its net asset value per share. Once the discount is narrower than 15%, GCP Infrastructure also will look for new investment opportunities.
