IN BRIEF: GSK adds Oxford University medical science head to board

GSK PLC - London-based pharmaceutical company - Hires Gavin Screaton as a non-executive director, joining the board on May 1. Screaton is head of the Medical Sciences Division at the University of Oxford. He is ‘an expert in the field of immunology and infectious diseases, two areas of science critical to GSK,’ it says. Screaton replaces Jesse Goodman, who will step down at GSK’s annual general meeting in May, after nine years on the board. GSK hasn’t yet announced a date for its 2025 AGM. In 2024, it was held on May 8.
