IN BRIEF: Henry Boot leases more of Island office space in Manchester

Henry Boot PLC - Sheffield, England-based construction and property development - Leases the entire first floor of the Island office building in Manchester to Arcadis NV, an Amsterdam-based provider of architecture, engineering and environmental consultancy services. Arcadis takes 10,300 square feet on a 10-year lease at £48 per square foot, worth £494,400 per annum. Already signed up for 46,000 square feet on a 10-year lease is telecommunications provider Virgin Media 02. This means the 91,000-square-foot, nine-story Island building, located in Manchester’s central business district, is 66% let. The office development is an equal joint venture with Greater Manchester Pension Fund and has a gross development value of £66 million.
