IN BRIEF: Mission Group says chair to step down at year's end

Mission Group PLC - Devon, England-based owner of a group of digital marketing and communications agencies - Non-Executive Chair David Morgan will step down from the board on December 31. Mission Group names Chief Executive Officer John Carey to succeed Morgan as executive chair. Notes that after Morgan rejoined the board in November, 2023, he oversaw "a period of significant change for the business. His tenure has seen the group complete a value restoration plan to rebuild the group's balance sheet and strengthen the group's board and senior leadership team."

Morgan comments: "As group CEO John Carey has made an overwhelming contribution to the business in the year that he has been with us. He has refocused the group, made it leaner yet more dynamic in its approach and created a senior management team that I believe is the best in the business. It is with that confidence in the future that I have decided to step down as chairman at the end of this year and I recommended to our board that John becomes executive chair as of January 2027. I am delighted that the board unanimously approved my proposal. Mission is going places and is in very safe hands."
