Seeing Machines Ltd - Canberra-based computer vision technology company - Says it has secured an advanced robotics development contract with an unnamed "global industrial technology company focused on factory automation and human-robot interaction." Says the contract builds on the capabilities of its Perception Map technology, "applying human-centred AI to improve how people and machines interact across operational environments." Expects the initial programme to deliver a robotics proof-of-concept application for a factory automation environment, establishing "a foundation for further collaborative development activities across industrial automation and robotics."
"This programme reflects the broader applicability of our human-centred AI and reinforces the value of technology designed to understand people and the environments in which they operate," comments Chief Executive Officer Paul McGlone. "By combining more than 25 years of human factors expertise with advanced AI, we are helping machines better understand people, anticipate risk and enable safer, more intuitive human-machine experiences.
"We are pleased to be working with our customer on this development program and look forward to exploring further opportunities together."
