IN BRIEF: Senior gets contract from Airbus for fluid conveyance parts

Senior PLC - Hertfordshire, England-based maker of components and systems for aerospace & defence, land vehicle, and power & energy customers - Wins ‘multi-year’ contract with aircraft maker Airbus SE to design and manufacture ’aerospace standard’ parts for fluid conveyance applications. Senior doesn’t provide any financial details of the contract. It says delivery will begin in the first quarter of next year from Senior’s facilities in Europe. Initial production will supply components for both dual and single aisle commercial aircraft platforms, Senior says, with further potential in the spares and repairs markets.

‘Our teams in Europe have been working hard to develop and qualify these highly engineered standard parts that have multiple applications across the commercial aircraft business of Airbus,’ says Launie Fleming, chief executive officer of Senior Aerospace.
