Tharisa PLC - Paphos, Cyprus-headquartered platinum miner in South Africa and Zimbabwe - Founder & Executive Chair Loucas Pouroulis steps down, with immediate effect, and will become founding chair emeritus. Pouroulis has chaired the board since October 2010. Appoints Lead Director Carol Bell as new chair, with effect from Thursday. Elevates Non-Executive Director David Salter as deputy chair. Names Michelle Taylor, chief operating officer, as chief corporate and commercial officer. Offers Roy Murley, currently executive of operations at Tharisa Minerals, the role of chief operations officer.

Tharisa says the changes further align its governance with the UK corporate governance code, the King V code on corporate governance for South Africa and the JSE listings requirements.
