IN BRIEF: Venture Life buys two US healthcare brands for $28 million

Venture Life Group PLC - Berkshire, England-based company that commercialises products for the consumer self-care market, with brands including Balance Activ, Earol and Health & Her - Agrees to buy the FemiClear and Curoxen healthcare brands for a combined $28.0 million. It is buying the two brands from OrganiCare Nature’s Sciences LLC, an Austin, Texas-based company that develops natural alternatives to synthetic pharmaceuticals. FemiClear treats gynaecological conditions such as urinary tract infections. Curoxen provides infection prevention for wounds and mouth sores. In the financial year that ended March 31, the two brands generated net revenue of $12.1 million and gross profit of $7.5 million. Venture Life says the acquisitions will strengthen its portfolio and support future growth in the women’s intimate health sector and within the US market.

Separately, Venture Life says Chair Paul McGreevy buys 88,273 shares at 62.3 pence, worth £54,994, on Wednesday.
