IN BRIEF: Vodafone completes GBP4 billion buy of all of VodafoneThree

Vodafone Group PLC - Berkshire, England-based telecommunications provider - Completes the buyout of the 49% stake in UK telecoms joint venture VodafoneThree from partner CK Hutchison Holdings Ltd. Vodafone is paying the Hong Kong-based conglomerate £4.3 billion for its holding in the JV, which is the product of the merger last year of the UK mobile and broadband businesses of Vodafone and Hutchison's Three. Vodafone on Thursday says the acquisition is fully funded from its existing cash resources, and it expects to capture £700 million in annual cost and capital expenditure synergies by financial 2030.

Separately, Vodafone says Ahmed Essam, executive chair of Vodafone Germany and chief executive officer of European markets, sells 2.5 million shares at £1.20, worth £23.0 million, on Tuesday.
