Cooks Coffee to open new Esquires units in Irish Tesco stores

Cooks Coffee Co Ltd on Wednesday said it has struck a deal with Tesco PLC in Ireland, which will see five Esquires units open in the grocer’s stores.

The stores will open before the end of November, the Auckland, New Zealand-based coffee chain said.

Three of the five stores to launch Esquires units will be in Munster, while two in Leinster.

‘The five new Esquires stores will be operated by franchisees who already operate very successfully within the Esquires Irish network,’ Cooks added.

‘Both parties view this as a highly complementary partnership, bringing the Esquires premium coffee and food offering to select Tesco locations.’

Shares in Aquis-listed Cooks were unmoved at 9.00 pence each in London on Wednesday.
