Costain secures place on PS700 million TfL infrastructure framework

Costain Group PLC on Tuesday said that it has been selected by Transport for London as one of three contractors on its Infrastructure Improvement Framework, which carries a total value of around £700 million.

The London-based construction and engineering company said projects will be awarded over a two-year term, with an option of a two-year extension.

The framework will see Costain provide a range of services, including design, engineering, programme delivery and supply chain management.

The award continues Costain’s long-standing partnership with TfL which now extends over 25 years, including recent road projects such as the refurbishment of the A40 Westway and an ongoing refurbishment project at Brent Cross Interchange.

Chief Executive Alex Vaughan said the award is ‘testament to our proven track record in delivering best-in-class infrastructure services across the capital.’

Shares in Costain rose 0.1% to 192.80 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
