DigitalBox completes acquisition of Life Network digital assets

DigitalBox PLC on Monday said it has completed its acquisition of the digital assets of Life Network from Media Chain Group Ltd.

The Bath, England-based digital media company is the owner of brands such as Daily Mash, Tab and TV Guide.

DigitalBox bought the digital assets for £200,000, which comprises a £20,000 license fee paid in March and a further £180,000 in cash upon completion of the deal.

Ownership of Life Network’s Facebook and Instagram pages have now transferred to DigitalBox, giving the company more than 26 million total followers on all its social media channels. This was up from DigitalBox’s prior 21 million followers.

The acquisition was made through DigitalBox subsidiary DigitalBox Publishing Ltd.

‘The Life Network assets have been acquired to progress the development of Royal Insider,’ said DigitalBox. ‘After a period of successful testing of the assets on Royal Insider, and a positive trading performance across Digitalbox’s wider portfolio during the first half of 2025, the board made the decision to progress with the acquisition.’

DigitalBox expects the acquisition to be earnings enhancing in 2025.

Shares in DigitalBox were up 1.2% at 4.30 pence in London on Monday morning. The stock is up 13% over the past year.
