Diploma CFO Chris Davies steps down immediately, citing conduct

Diploma PLC on Thursday announced Chris Davies has stepped down as finance chief and from the board with immediate effect.

The London-based supplier of specialised technical products and services said Davies’s ‘behaviour did not meet the high standards required’ at a company event.

Diploma said his resignation is not related to the firm’s financial performance, adding that its guidance for the current financial year running to September 30 is unchanged.

Wilson Ng, its financial controller, will be acting chief financial officer and a process to appoint a permanent successor is being kicked off. Ng joined the company in 2022.

Diploma shares fell 3.1% to 5,277.20 pence each on Thursday morning in London.
