Domino's Pizza sales and orders growth slows down in third quarter

Domino's Pizza Group PLC on Wednesday said it remains confident of meeting full-year earnings expectations despite sales growth cooling in the third quarter.

The Milton Keynes, England-based master franchise holder in the UK and Ireland for Domino's Pizza Inc said total system sales increased by 3.5% in the quarter ended September 30 from the year prior, including like‑for‑like growth of 2.3%. Total orders rose by 2.6%, with like‑for‑like orders up 1.4%.

Like-for-like sales growth slowed from 5.2% in the second quarter, while growth in orders also eased from 2.2% in the three months to June.

Year-to-date, LFL sales have increased by 4.0% on-year with LFL orders up 1.5%.

In response, shares in Domino's Pizza Group were down 3.8% at 228.00 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.

Performance was again driven by growth in both Pizza and Chick 'N' Dip, the firm said, with continued strong sales from its Italianos pizza range.

All major cost categories are fixed for full-year 2026, and into FY27, providing good visibility over the cost base, the firm said.

"This gives us confidence in delivering earnings growth in FY27 and beyond," it added.

As a result, Domino's Pizza said it remains confident of achieving earnings expectations for the full year, in line with market expectations.

Chief Executive Nicola Frampton said: "Whilst there is a lot of work still to be done, this gives us confidence in achieving our expectations for the full year, while building the foundations for further growth in 2027 and beyond."
