EARNINGS: Warpaint London profit down; Kooth swings to interim profit

The following is a round-up of earnings for London-listed companies, issued on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Warpaint London PLC - Buckinghamshire, England-based colour cosmetics and personal care products supplier - Pretax profit falls 33% to £4.9 million in the six months ended June 30 from £7.3 million the year prior as revenue declines 18% to £40.5 million from £49.3 million. Adjusted earnings per share total 4.5 pence versus 8.3p. The interim dividend is lifted 6.3% to 4.25p from 4.0p. Looking ahead, Warpaint London expects sales for the nine months to September 30 to be £69 million compared to £76 million a year ago. For the full-year, sees revenue towards the lower end of the range of expectations currently between £103.3 million to £112.6 million. Expects adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation within the current range of analyst forecasts. Says performance reflects challenging trading conditions, order timing and non-recurring sales in the prior period, partially offset by a £2.5 million contribution from the Barry M brand following its acquisition in February. Says it remains well positioned financially, with a strong balance sheet and no debt.

----------

Ampeak Energy Ltd - Edinburgh, Scotland-based developer, owner and operator of sustainable energy projects - Pretax loss widens to £4.7 million in the six months ended June 30 from £4.6 million the year prior on revenue down to £2.2 million from £3.5 million. Declares no dividend, as it did a year ago. Lower revenue primarily reflects lower electricity generation from MeyGen as a result of turbine servicing activities during the period. At June 30, Ampeak held cash and cash equivalents of £3.6 million. "The board recognises that securing further funding remains an important priority, and we continue to pursue a range of funding initiatives in addition to the completion of the AW1 equity transaction in September 2026 that has further strengthened the group's position," it says. Says it enters the second half of 2026 with significant momentum and believes it is exceptionally well positioned to benefit from the requirement for large-scale battery energy storage across the UK and Ireland. In addition, Ampeak says Graham Reid has informed the board of his intention to retire as CEO on January 4, 2027. David Taaffe, currently chief operating officer, will succeed Reid, who will remain on the board as a non-executive director. Taaffe has led the development of Ampeak's battery storage business and holds responsibility for the company's project portfolio, including the origination, strategic development and project financing of its significant portfolio of battery storage projects.

Kooth PLC - London-based digital mental health services provider - Swings to pretax profit of £2.6 million in the six months ended June 30 from £1.7 million loss the year prior although revenue declines to £30.8 million from £32.1 million. Lower revenue reflects the impact of a £700,000 negative foreign exchange movement together with a £800,000 planned tapering of California product development revenue and reduced UK revenue of £300,000. This is offset by £500,000 from a Michigan contract win. On a constant currency basis, revenue decreases 2% over the prior period. Gross margin increases to 74.1% from 62.8%. Net cash increases to £23.1 million, up on-year from £15.3 million to support Kooth's long-term strategy and growth. Expects to deliver underlying results broadly in line with expectations for the year before the potential impact of foreign exchange movements.

----------

Andrews Sykes Group PLC - provider of air conditioning, heating, pumps, chillers and boilers - Pretax profit rises to £10.3 million in the six months ended June 30 from £10.0 million the year prior as revenue increases to a record £40.9 million from £37.9 million. Basic EPS eases to 17.60 pence from 17.77p. The interim dividend is unchanged at 11.90p per share. Revenue rise is broad-based across pumping, heating and air conditioning. Reports significantly increased demand for comfort cooling equipment which increased air conditioning revenues by almost 40% compared with the same period in 2025. This reflects the hot weather and has continues to positively impact trading in the second half of the financial year. As the summer season ends, the board anticipates the group's UK and European trading performance will trend towards more normal levels. Elsewhere, trading at the its Middle East businesses continues to be relatively subdued. Overall, remains confident of delivering an improved second half trading performance, and expects full year trading performance to be materially ahead of 2025.

----------

Digitalbox PLC - Peterborough, England-based digital media company and owner of brands such as Daily Mash, Tab and TV Guide - Pretax loss mounts to £972,000 in the six months ended June 30 from £198,000 the year prior on revenue down to £1.7 million from £1.8 million. Losses per share are 0.81 pence versus 0.14p. Strong first quarter trading was followed by significant audience headwinds in the second quarter, it says, as Meta Platforms changed algorithms to favour video-led creator content. "The board believes the disruption currently taking place across digital media presents challenges but also significant opportunities for agile businesses capable of adapting quickly to changing patterns of content consumption and advertiser demand." Targets adjusted Ebitda margin of around 8% for FY 2026 and expects second half revenue to decline by similar percentage compared with the second half of 2025.

----------

Ingenta PLC - Oxford, England-based provider of software and services to the publishing industry - Pretax profit slips to £688,000 in the six months to June 30 from £1.2 million the year prior on revenue which falls slightly to £5.1 million from £5.2 million. Adjusted EPS declines to 5.00 pence from 5.86p. Leaves the dividend unchanged at 1.75p per share. Commercial revenue increases by 5% driven by additional Managed Services revenue from the existing customer base and Content revenue decreases by 7% due to lower implementation and consultancy revenue. Chair Martyn Rose says: "With a strong pipeline and a robust, debt-free balance sheet, we remain confident in the group's long-term growth trajectory."

----------

Boku Inc - London-based payments technology - Pretax profit rises to USD12.8 million in the six months to June 30 from re-presented USD10.7 million the year prior. Revenue increases to USD66.5 million from USD63.3 million, up 11% on an underlying basis. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation falls 10% to USD19.6 million from USD21.8 million on-yea, or 7% underlying. Diluted EPS is unchanged on-year at USD0.03. Declares no dividend, unchanged. Says first half performance was impacted by three factors. The first related to delayed launches for a key merchant. Second, two direct carrier billing connections were suspended by local authorities in one country. Finally, the firm experienced delays to a small number of other merchant launches. Full-year 2026 revenue is forecast of USD135-142 million with adjusted Ebitda of USD38-42 million, with the latter reflecting the lower revenue expectation partly mitigated by cost-efficiency gains, as a result of prior year investments in operational efficiency. Trading since the period end has been in line with expectations.
