Galliford Try secures lot under GBP3 billion West Midlands framework

Galliford Try Holdings PLC on Monday said it has been appointed to the latest Constructing West Midlands programme, a framework worth £3.0 billion.

The London-based building and infrastructure construction company said it has been selected in the major works lot for projects worth more than £10 million.

The framework covers public buildings for local authorities across sectors including education, housing, health, and leisure throughout the West Midlands region.

Chief Executive Officer Bill Hocking said: "We are delighted to be working once again with our partners at Constructing West Midlands to deliver much-needed public infrastructure for communities across the region."

Shares in Galliford Try slid 1.1% to 701.50 pence on Monday morning in London. Over the past year, shares in the company have risen 36%.
