GlobalData considers offer by ICG Europe Fund as KKR backs away

GlobalData PLC on Wednesday said it remains in talks with another suitor, after Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co LP confirmed it does not intend to make an offer for GlobalData.

The London-based analytics company back in April reported takeover approaches from New York-based private equity firm KKR and from funds managed by ICG Europe Fund IX SCSP. Both were potential cash offers with an unlisted equity alternative.

GlobalData on Wednesday said it remains in talks with ICG and has extended the offer deadline to June 11.

GlobalData shares were down 2.4% to 183.50 pence each on Wednesday morning in London, giving the firm a market capitalisation of £1.48 billion.
