Great Portland Estates signs new tenant at Soho office refurbishment

Great Portland Estates PLC on Thursday said it has let a further 9,312 square feet of office space at its 16 Dufour's Place property in London's Soho neighbourhood, taking occupancy of the refurbished building to 71%.

The London-based office space developer and landlord said it has completed four new leases at the fully managed office building, which will generate £2.38 million in annual rent at £256 per square foot, 1.1% ahead of the estimated rental value at March 2026.

Just two office floors remain available to lease at the property.

GPE said it refreshed the building after relocating two customers occupying around 6,000 square feet to its 141 Wardour Street property. The refurbishment included a larger 20-person boardroom, breakout areas, a lounge, self-service coffee bar and upgraded outdoor space.

Head of Flex Leasing David Korman said the pace of leasing reflected strong demand for the company's fully managed office offering in prime West End locations.

Shares in Great Portland Estates were down 0.2% to 345.00 pence in London on Wednesday.
